Scientific name: Nectarinia jugularis (Linnaeus, 1766). This is a male bird.
Sunbirds are a group of very small Old World passerine birds which feed largely on nectar, although they will also take insects, especially when feeding young. Sunbirds
are found in tropical Africa, India, and the forests of Southeast Asia, including the Philippines. Typically Sunbirds are small, the males of most species are brightly
