Big Snapper

Jamestown National Park, VA

BIG snapping turtle on the bank of the James River. The shell was over 24" long -- biggest one I've ever seen.

BTW - This photo was taken almost exactly 1 minute before last night's post - Saturday at the Jamestown Park was a good nature/photo day.
