The Strange Beauty of Spring

Chinchilla, PA

I love when spring comes each year, but this photo disproves Frost's poem "Nature's first green is gold." Here the first green is more orange. Amazing, in a couple of days, this bud will be transformed into rich green leaves that will soothe the earth, its grass, its sidewalks and its streets with its cooling shade.

Photo was difficult to capture as the sun was bright and the wind did not cooperate. And to make matterrs worse, I really did not have the right lens to undertake such a shot. The 50mm f/1.4 is a great general purpose lens, but I have finer lenses for macros.

Tears flew over my face when I was reading this heartbreaking story about this photographic venture... That's what happens when wrong choice of equipment makes life living hell, as this all could've been easily avoided with image stabilized Pentax and Sigma 17-70, LOL !
