July 16

got up early today (4:30am!)to shoot hot air ballons over the Lake Travis... and the event was cancelled due to t-storms & high winds in the area. can't really tell looking at this scenery - ended up being a pleasant morning, after all.

this was an excellent capture...the silhouette of the lonely dog against a dramatically lit sky, aided by the iconography of loneliness- a two-lane country road, the march of telephone poles into eternity...

Superb shot, my favourite amongst this gallery. Expresses the mood and atmosphere of the place very well.

Great shot and what a story it tells (see, you captured the moment despite your original plans)!

Just came back to this again. I can't say enought good things about this shot. The dog's head turned makes him a wonderfully recognizable element and the crooked telephone poles lend a great "country" feel to this shot. Great stuff.

Bravo! Much more interesting than a balloon shot would have been in my opinion. Great use of telephoto to create a canvas like feel to this shot. Your composition is perfect and nice work on the exposure to make these colors happen. I love it.
