Camera Shy

Ok so I cheaply tried to use my dog, Kenai, as a self-portrait prop tonight. Sue me.

She was too busy sniffing that new, smelly, muslin backdrop to look at the camera. I have a backlight sticking out of me rear with a red gel on it to give the backdrop some color.

New to backlighting and have PLENTY of to room to improve. Expect more of these poor attempts in the near future.

Many thanks and dog treats to go Kenai for being a good sport, she HATES to be picked up like this.

I like that the dog is looking the other way.

You could do Glamour Shots with that background babe ;)

But just think of the cardio benefits lol. Out of focus or not Kenai is a good sport for humoring you and I think you did pretty darn good with the backlighting. Something I have yet to tackle

Keep in mind that this Tamron 90mm lens is VERY sharp, but this is out of focus cause I had to manually set (guess) the distance and then run over and pick up Kenai before the shutter timer ran down, since the camera would not focus properly in total darkness.
