I use this lens on my Sony a7's via a Nikon mount adapter. Got to say, this is one of the sharpest and most accurate lenses I own, macro or otherwise.

Just amazing lens,

A stunning lens, both as macro and for portraits (though on cropped sensors it ends up a little long for this.) The sharpness and bokeh are legendary- the images speak for themselves.

Excellent optical resolution, beautiful bokeh and really good build at a nice price. The one major drawback is AF, it's quite slow and noisy, not always accurate, sometimes hunts, even when the limiter's turned on (not really the best choice for "action" photos of any kind). But since I use this lens mostly for landscape it doesn't really bother me.

(about half of those shots were taken with this lens, described respectively under each photo)

I bought this lens on March 3, 2008 and have had it just over two months. It is my first macro leans. In that time I have started a macro gallery which has received over 5,000 hits. I use the lens both manual and AF with a Nikon D300 and all the shots in the gallery were taken hand held.

I highly recommend this lens. It cost me about $390 after Tamron rebate.

Best Wishes,

Walter

I use it with my D70 and Fuji S2 pro. It's a fantastic lens, very sharp, I love it.

I absolutely love this lens. It is first of all sharp and secondly has an incredibly creamy bokeh. This second factor, along with wanting a longer lens for macro than the 60mm Nikkor I had, is what attracted me and I am far from disappointed. This lens can produce lovely images and I wouldn't want to go anywhere without it. Take a look at my macro gallery here, and see what you think!

I have bought this one recently. The portraits pictures too much sharp to believe. The Macro is amazing too.

Excellent lens, very very sharp.
good for both macro and portraits.
Good AF and very comfortable manual focus (for macro shots).
