Ducks

Finally got out on the old canoe.
I find that one can't change lenses quickly in a very small boat
thus I seemed to have the zoom on when I wanted wide angle and visa-versa
Oh well ... it sure was nice to get out into the backwaters again.

Love takeoff shots. Great shot, esp from the canoe!

I don't think he was happy with your arrival Larry. He did however provide you with that added extra by flying off....terrific shot.

Regardless of all your equipment troubles this worked out well

Excellent. Looked like a croc from the thumb!

Good shot and it confirms that on does not have one too much with 2 cameras.

looks like you had a nice time

I share your pain Larry :-) I never know which to have on the 28-70 or the 70-200. This is a great shot and I like your photogaphic style!

This should be in a wildlife book....I hope you have it enlarged and framed.

My plan is to have a canoe next summer....so many places to go here on the edge of Green Bay; I really like this photo because it's a "looker"...meaning I have to really look to see the subjects in the camoflage (sp?) of the background...in this photo it works!

Great, Larry. Canoes are definitely the best to quietly come upon wildlife. Great catch.

Nice capture, Larry. Beautiful, subtle colors and great timing on capturing the duck taking off in flight.

Their protective coloration sure works--I didn't see them in the thumbnail!

Good catch

I thought it was a croc there for a minute.

You caught one in flight! How cool! I don't know about all the lens switching but whatever you did worked. Excellent shot.
