The Battle (against the Evil Hordes from Another World) will be won only by dedication to the cause. Teamwork is a measure of that dedication, as it demonstrates the willingness to subvert the quest for personal glory for the good of Mankind. This image---whether true or faked---is an example of such teamwork.
On the left is Agent Listorama, uncharacteristically wearing a red shirt; on the right, Agent Cross. Those, of course, are pseudonyms: one can never be too careful when working in deep cover. They are pictured at [DELETED] on [REDACTED]. During a break in their hectic but fulfilling schedule, they agreed to pose for the Phenomena Corps Newsletter.
They are pictured at the Field Agents’ Basic Detection Systems Seminar---Special Case Version, a course of study created solely to bring Texian agents---in this case, Agent Cross---up to speed with the rest of the covert community. At the end of the class, the Director declared that the student’s performance warrants significant additional training to elevate the student’s understanding of basic concepts to a minimally acceptable level:
Cross’s grade for the seminar was merely one lone star out of a possible 50. Agent Listorama helped conduct the seminar and returned to the dormitory uttering distasteful phrases, none of which can be repeated here. When asked to comment for the newsletter, he confessed to being "exhausted by addressing the bazillion inane questions" posed by the seminar’s supposed beneficiary.
Agent Listorama is operating a device that has two purposes: 1) activate the Take My Picture mechanism of a highly-advanced visible-spectrum image-recording device (as done here) and 2) vaporize any life form instantly if so desired. Designers were careful to make the two round buttons for the device slightly different in size for effective purpose differentiation. Agent Cross is holding the latest-version Fratostaic DeBroglie Wave Mitigator and Carpenter’s Stud Finder (FDWM/CSF), which here has been separated from its meson inverter as a safety precaution because the subjects are not wearing the appropriate protective clothing.
Agent Joe Tripod was also present to assist in the taking of this "photograph."
