The power lines carry electricity from the Moab area to the potash mine, two miles
away. The thin, curving line next to the road is a natural gas pipeline that also
runs to the mine. The pipeline sits on wooden blocks on the ground for much of
its length; it makes a dramatic descent to Jackson Hole via Jackson's Ladder.
