Distant view of the potash mine railroad track used in the movie "Spacehunter"

Amasa Back Trail (near Moab, Utah)

More on "Spacehunter" and the railroad track in another gallery.

Just below the center of the image is the south end of the railroad track, which is built on
a reddish rock berm about 15 feet (4.5m) tall. The berm runs next to the paved road that leads
to the Potash boat ramp and Shafer Trail (the inclined road above the river at left). A white
recreational vehicle is in front of the berm. The muddy Colorado River is flowing from right
to left in this view to the west. At lower right is a talus slope of Jackson Butte.
