Hello, This is a great site! I appreciate it mostly because my grandmother took me birding as a child...great pictures. I ended up on this site because I live in Canton on the east side of the Baltimore Harbor and kept noticing this group of little black birds. I've always noticed the ducks but it seems that in the past few years the population of these little black water birds are growing. I believe they are the American Coot. I will take a closer look soon. Thanks Again for the wonderful pics. -A

Just to let you know, we have a full time Coot residing at Port of Salisbury, Salisbury,Md. On occassion he is joined by two others. We also have Geese, and unfortunatly, Seagulls."dirty dirty,bird"
