3 Brothers, 3 Different Services

Crop from http://www.pbase.com/image/29553291.

These 3 brothers, as I understand, served during WWII. All different services, and all I could imagine was the family that remained behind.

A small background: I graduated as a history major, and throughout school and my own obsessions, WWII has held a grip on me. Don't ask me why, because it might become an X-Files episode. Suffice to say, I would have given my eye teeth to be in Washington yesterday, but today in town the local WWII vets were remembered and I had to be there.

A tough day for me as oldest daughter Morgan is seriously considering enlisting.

Bless them all.

A lovely and touching photo. It must have been a totally different experience to live in a time when the purpose seemed so much clearer.

Excellent Karen. Very eye catching and dramatic. And, as a fellow historian, I share your interest in WW II.
