Fireworks

Took this last night, but didn't look until today, so this is it.
The town I live in has just erected a new bandstand and incorporated the dedication into the Memorial Day events.
First attempt at fireworks. Never realized how fast they go off, esp. with a long exposure. Began with raw but pretty quickly changed to JPG since writing to the buffer increased the wait. Didn't have the camera pointed high enough in the sky for some of the shots either. Should have changed to either a faster shutter or the F/ for the finale, since everything was blown. WAY too much light. Not sure which would have been better?? Couple more here: http://www.pbase.com/kleaf/memorial_day_2004

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel

Great job, Karen. You have me wanting to search out fireworks to see if I can do anything anywhere near this good.

Very nice Karen. I get a real bang out of this shot. Looks like 6 seconds was a good time setting.
