This is perhaps the saddest old movie theater in all of Buffalo. It's standing out of habit, on a narrow street on the west side. I can only imagine how it's marquee lit up the neighborhood on a hot summer night.

It's sad to say but I drove by this theater today with my wife (we used to live in this neighborhood) and they are in the process of demolishing this building. The roof and the front are completely gone, and from what's left of the inside it looks like it was in terrible shape.

For many years, probably since the 1960s, definitely since the 1970s when I was a little girl, this building operated on and off as a Spanish Pentecostal Church. This church was affiliated with the Spanish Pentecostal Church at 224 Hudson near Fargo. Unfortunately, the last time I was in this building it was greatly decayed. Despite the church's efforts to raise money to restore the inside, the costs were too high and the last I heard they had given up and put the building up for sale.
