20060401 April

Coleshill, Oxfordshire

O, TO be in England
Now that April 's there,
And whoever wakes in England
Sees, some morning, unaware,
That the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf,
While the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough
In England—now!

(Robert Browning - Home thoughts from abroad)

haha - I bet it felt good to be able to put an image underneath and call it "last year" ;-))
Great perspective John and I love the sharp daffs/blurred trees.

For some reason, daffodils still always remind me of a poem by Lord Byron, which I had to learn by heart in high school (although that was quite a long time ago).... Great shot!

Wonderful photos. Bet you had to lay on your belly to get these. Nice to read the poem, too--I could not remember who wrote it.

I really like the low perspective allowing you to use the sky as a backdrop. Not how I am used to seeing these. Well done.
