This playground, along with public park strips, community gardens & a dog run are threatened to be destroyed the the NYC/NYU Expansion Plan to build a series of skyscrapers here in the heart of historic Greenwich Village. The plan is currently being appealed in The New York State Supreme Court of Appeals.
