Ice skating on the National Mall

This is the skating rink in the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, sitting right in front of the National Archives. If I recall correctly, this was taken on one of those balmy days, but I guess it was still pretty cold out on the ice.

We can only dream of winterscenes this year. Today temperatures rised to 18 c. Nice winterscene.

Its a great picture, the formal building in back of the people. I see the budget has a 20% cut in the State Dept.
