HAYNES DESCRIPTION:
In the early 1960's John Gordon and Jim Keeble got together to design and finance a luxury GT. The engine chosen was a Chevrolet Corvette engine of 5.3 Litres developing 300 BHP. The body was designed in Bertone's studio in Italy by the precarious 21 year old styling genius Giorgetto Guigiaro and the chassis which was designed by Jim Keeble, was advanced incorporating De Dion rear suspension and all round disc brakes. Despite the initial price of of only £2798 in 1963, the production petered out in 1965 after only 99 of he handsome cars had been produced. Financial problems killed Gordon Keeble, but the concept of using large lazy American coupled with the best Italian styling has been copied many times since but seldom bettered.
