HI Rick. I was there alot in 82, 83, and 84, with Billy Dykeman on the Honeywagon. He and I still talk some. Hes doing ok. Sorry to find out Gillian had Passed away some 11 years ago now. Ran into a lady who was Toms Personal assistant in LA for the show the other day here Minnesota. Gillian and I were good friends and Hung out alot here mostly but in Kiamuki too. Along with some others from the cast and crew. Thx for doing this it brings back lots of fond memories.I'll tell Billy you did this. Aloha Brah!!

I visited the nest last week while in Oahu. The easiest way to find it is to find the research pier to the East (a few hundred yards)... To the West of the pier is a small neighborhood. Next look for the Masonic (Shriner's) property. The Nest is the next door East (heading back toward the pier). There is a beach access parking area next to the Shriner property. As a very nice local told me, walk the beach (low tide) and you can see the property. Don't walk on the concrete beach barrier as you can cut your feet or slip and break your ankle. The estate was in bad shape to be honest with you. Over grown, smaller in person, a huge tarp covering the entrance to the main house. The guest house had plywood over some windows (perhaps for protection or in disrepair. The private lagoon is nice and the setting facing the ocean is unreal beautiful with islands close by and beach views that are amazing. There is a small rusty fence where you can peer through. There is a lot of growth that obstructs the view. A single outside flood light was on even though is was 2 in the afternoon. It is worth a look! October 2009

does anyone knpw if the estate was lived in by someone DURING the filming in the years 1980 to 1988, and what was the arrangement. I would guess that it was used by the normal resident of the estate, and used on special certain days by the film crew to make the tv series... thank you to anyone that may know the answer or make a comment to this, michael
