I found a huge spider dead in my hallway and freaked out it was brown with long brown legs i wish i could put the pic on here so u could see it i dont know if there are more or where he came from 😥 he still has me freaked out

Just now found a Hugh Spider that has a leg span of about 2"-3";body of 1 1/4"; brown eandfe dark brown in color with darker spots on its legs. Almost stpped on it my basement. Located in East Tennessee.any idea if it is poison? Looks like fishing spider from pictures.

I understand the wolf spider are good to have around. Even though their large size is intimidating, they are usually harmless and eat other more dangerous spiders.

Yes, it's the Carolina Wolf Spider. I just had one in my pantry. Scared the heck out of me. Wacked it with a frying pan. Would hate to have it bite me or my cat. Going to get some strong insect spray tomorrow.

I justt found a fairly large (at least I think it was large!) spider on my back porch. Size was about like a large palmetto bug with six legs, two more at the back of the body. Color was vanilla with brownish-black striations. Legs were pretty long, and pretty thick. I respect these creatures, but am also scared by them. Have you any idea what is crawling around in my backyard at this moment?!? If I should be concerned, email is: cillacc1955@gmail.com
