This is one of a series of pictures of a high quality Roman sarcophagus. It's of the "Sidemara type" (from a place near Konya). It's from the third century AD.
On one of the short sides of the sarcophagus we see an altar, a man is pouring oil on wine on it, to keep the fire burning. A sacrifical bull is standing by. Behind the altar are the doors to the underworld, hades.
