Under the dome of the western bay there are four pendentives, each with one of four hymnographers whose hymns form part of the memorial service of the Orthodox Church. The furniture reflects 14th century furniture.

Here we see Theophanes to the left, Joseph to the right. Under them to the left the scenes of Jacob sleeping and fighting the angel, and to the right Moses and the burning bush. Even lower we see the top of the northeastern burial recess, that has no remaining frescoes.
