By the side of the road II

Rt. 340 and 17. It's difficult to see oncoming traffic as you exit 340 here. A couple on a motorcycle pulled out far enough to check and either didn't see anything or pulled out too far. Someone, likely the driver of the motorcycle who survived, has kept this marker up faithfully for nearly eight years. He must have loved her very much.

I keep coming back. The tones and faded colors complete the picture but 40 years old is too damn young.A great picture of a very upsetting subject.

I like how the background in this picture gives you that cold feeling and with you using selective color and giving the flowers that light color, gives the image the warmth. Someone cares. Very nice Donna. Nice to see you post again.

The selective color is excellent - subtle brush of color that draws attention without seizing it. Appropriate for the subject. V.
