Hi Don and Karl... we (the Coulter family) lived at 6321 N.W. 112th Terr. and my mom (Mollie) told me the story about how a person hung himself in the house next door to us. I was not born then (I was born in 1966).

Karl, a friend of mine who delivered the Miami News to your house introduced me to your dad around 1960 or so and he said I could come down to the MIA Tower anytime and he'd give me a tour. I did and he let me watch the controllers in the radar room and he explained everything to me and then let me watch the controllers in the tower cab. I didn't know it until a couple of years ago but your grandfather worked for the airport authority which is where I worked from 1974 to 2000 when I retired. I had heard the Innes name over the years from the old timers but I never made the connection, darn it. We (the airport) took over the old tower in 1991 right after Pan Am died to use as a gate control tower (E-Tower) and I was the supervisor of that section (we also had the former Eastern Ramp Tower, renamed to B-Tower) from 1986 to 2000. How ironic that I was in charge of the same tower that your dad gave me a tour of many years before.

Correction on the time period - it must have been 1957 since I started first grade when Dupuis opened.

Can't remember the exact time but around 59-60 I lived on 112th Terrace. Only name I can remember was a friend named Walter Sarota (?). And my sister's friend Nadine Ciaccio (?) and her sister. And there was a neighbor about 2 doors down that hung himself from the attic access panel late one night. My sister was babysitting me with Nadine and they terrorized me. We lived there for a very short time until my dad (Don Innes) left my mom (Rosalie). Then my mom and I moved to the duplex right off E. 4th Ave and 17th Street. BTW-my dad was a tower supervisor at MIA for 30 years.
