Taken along the coast of Maine on a fishing dock where lobsters and other fish are brought in each day. I think these are lobster cages but I don't know for sure. I liked the looks of this apparatus even tho I didn't not know what it was. I'm glad it caused some to be curious. Thanks for your comments! shu
Yep I'm sure Jim has nailed it... just shows how 'soft' we have become????... in the olden.. olden days they would have 'shouldered' the barrels ;-) (glad I'm a Woose...!)
Is this a Jetty/Wharf/Pier shot and are those cages 'crab traps' ?

It is a hand truck for moving barrels. The movable thing (catch) on the handle will slide up and down and catch onto the top lip of the barrel to hold it on when moving. It can be used for different sized barrels from 50 gallon and smaller. Jim
