I agree with Olaf, the light in the roof is the real star of this image. I think if you cropped to at least the first post on the right you would eliminate those distracting trees and our eyes would be drawn more to the roof and the boat. You could probably crop to the second post and that would allow us to concentrate more on the repeating patterns of the boat ribs and roof tresses. The perspective works really well! ~Sharon

I don't think it is only because I am an architect... What I notice most in this shot is the roof structure of the boat house. The color and the light on the upper half is very nice, whereas on the boat itself it's pretty dull and flat...
