I am not saying the contrast is too high - just that the high contrast may be fooling me to see oversharpening where there may not be any.

Yes, probably I have exxagerated with the contrast. I have to work more on it

Alexei, I am really hard pressed to notice a difference between the two - if anything, I think the one that is supposed to be more sharpened actually looks less so... I may not be right about the oversharpening - it may just be due to the high contrast? I am looking at the specular highlights on the wet cobble stones.

I have decreased the sharpening somewhat. Is it better now? The previouss version is here:

Hope I didn't come across as being negative, I'm not, I really like this photo --- aam1234

As much as I love this photo, I think olaf is right. It's a tiny bit too sharpened.

Also, I would "burn" the guy's face (not literally!), it's not shown, yet there is a reflection (?) there. So better darken it to lose confusion if you ask me. Hope that makes sense. --- aam1234

Olaf, thanks for comment. I shall produce a less sharpened version, it is easy because I do always do sharpening as the very last step.

I like it a lot, but as is often the case with your shots, I think it is a bit oversharpened.
