February 4 2004:
A Breath of Fresh Air

Today was a bit of a landmark day for me. I've actually got a lot of fresh air for the first time in a while. Wind, rain and coldness are not enticing to me and so any stints in the garden have recently been "limited". I have been spurned on by my next door neighbours, who are selling their house and want it in tip-top condition to get the best price. Between us, we have today put new fence panels in and cut back a lot of shrub growth, and its been a good job out of the way.
I still have to clear the old panels and greenery out of the way. I could take it all down the tip, or could go adopt the "Take the Microwave out in the Garden and Cook Christmas Pudding" approach and just burn the stuff:-)

The diagonal lines in this add to the dynamism of this image. The bold green is great!

Very strong colors! I can smell the mold on that old fence.

Ray, they want to SELL their house, not burn it down. Keep that microwave inside!!

Strong greens in that mold. Very eye-catching.

The blend of colours here is besutiful - and I like the different textures very much too.

Wow - great colours and textures.

Love the combination of the colors. Indeed well done.

You did great on the saturation, I love the flashy green and the darker brown.
Oh btw, I also want to thank you for the tip on my shoe, I enlarged the picture and it looks better :)

If you do burn it... shoot that too!

Jean,
I actually increased the contrast and played with levels to liven up the image. :-)

I like bonfires :-)
And I really like this picture !

Did you increase the saturation on this or is the moss really that green..?
Lots of nice firewood there..

Busy busy. Now that is an idea...microwave should have more than one use of just burning pudding.

IF you attempt this...consider that for a PaD?

What a mess..makes me want to jump into the PC and start cleaning it up.
Yet..as Angela stated many nice contrasting colors and textures.

So many textures in this shot that are all so wonderful! The light is great -- nicely angled to bring out definition. Ray, what a colorful shot! Glad you got a small break from all your work to get a shot in! -- angela :)
