I never had any doubt at all, Shu: I was just joking, of course (as the "smiley" implied)! We've known each other for long enough for me to be able to exclude any insult from/by you; don't worry! And, BTW, I also do hold most professors in very high esteem. — db.

Oh definitely a compliment, Daniel. (An insult never came to mind.) I hold most professors in high esteem and this is definitely how I picture one! Have no doubt about it!! Shu

Thanks a lot, Melanie and Shu, for your benevolent words! When I entered the series yesterday I gave it a title that implied (or rather stated) an answer to your question, Shu; then, I decided to change the title(s) and let those of you guess who might think of "self portraits" when they see these images; no prize foreseen, though, for those who guess right, sorry! BTW: In case this were me, I'd definitely like to know what "the look of a professor" means in your book: compliment or insult?? ;-)) db.
