Thanks all. This was shot with the Canon 100-400mm IS lens. I brought this (and had it mounted) as I was primarily looking for birds. It is a very fine lens, great glass, and I have had good luck shooting flowers and bees like this. I just have to be outside of 1.5m, which isn't too hard to do on a walk through the mountains. The best part of this was that the AZ light is so good, and I was at about 5000 ft, so everything was quite clear. Jim

oh WOW! this gorgeous!! (and one you wouldn't have gotten if it wasn't for shu's challenge! LOL) you guys out walking and looking for beauty---why, it just takes my breath away! but seriously, ed, this is one phenomenal shot!! great color and clarity and such a unique background! shu
