i'm glad you can take us along on your travels! we've seen many interesting places that most of us will never have the opportunity to visit, along with your fine photography that reveals the best part of every scene! can we meet for a chat, and share thoughts and feelings about this amazing experience we call "life?" as for you trav, "what's not to "love"?? shu
I did not know that I would feel as badly as I do about this image....I was up on the Burmese border, obviously lots of smuggling...I was, as is my habit, somewhere where I should not be, so I shot the images and left quickly...looking back now, this was a moral failing on my part.

PS to Paul: I sense there are so many locks, bolts and chains exactly because the animals in these cages are very smart...speaking of smart, I've never really hung out with elephants before, (I've ridden them, etc, but never spent close up time with them), and they are....you can see it deeply in their eyes, very smart.
Spooky smart, almost human intelligence....it was weird, nice....but also strange to be with something maybe as smart as me, (not a difficult measure...lol...but still...!)
