Nah, I knew that Michael had the "eye," to see this...whole and all at once and know how it would work in a viewer's mind.

I just love the fact that I can see the shifting illusion in all these textures, angles and curves.

'tis Art.

Belongs in the Tate Modern....

Shu - I create so many composites that it's completely logical for you to assume this is one also. In fact, it's a detail of a very large metal sculpture (rust finish) and it's a single image. The color differences are due to extremely bright directional sunlight and shadows (plus loads o' curves adjustments on various parts of the image). I would not have expected the flat compression at 63mm, but aren't those surprises of photography just the best!?! This is one of my favorite abstracts and I don't remember ever submitting it to a challenge in the past. In fact, I looked through my portfolio and found I've never even printed it...shame on me, I must correct that. -Michael
