22nd - "Quicksilver"

Cheltenham, Glos

(from the 1969 album More)

This pic had its genesis when I was phaffing about the other night with my spangly reflective chromatic assistor device* - I noticed that the patterns of light reflecting off the surface were different depending where the off-camera flash was directed. So with a bit experimentation, I came up with about a dozen shots which made the grade, and narrowed those down to the three you see here

OK, so there's not a whole lot of silver going on here, and it's not humungously artistic (let's face it, anyone could chuck a flash at some posh foil and come up with this or better) but I like it!

Sunday 22nd's ironically-there's-hardly-any-silver-in-sight entry to the Challenge; click here for other Floydian adventurers this month

*posh tin-foil :o)

I like the way you think. And the result is always impressive. So is this one.

A very creative experiment makes for a fascinating triptych. Very cool colors, I espcially like the middle image.

Very colourful work and creative thinking,

And here's me thinking all you could do with tin foil was wrap food. Superb effects.
AND you have a silver tongue when it comes to the explanations - we're all hooked and waiting for the next chapter! :))

excellet abstraction!

The three shots together with their subtle differences is a case of the whole is more than the sum of the parts.

OOOOOH, I like it, too!! Thanks for sharing the learning process, as well. Makes us all better photographers AND definitely inspires us to take chances in looking at things differently.

This is so cool! Very clever!!

It's what you like that counts, but quick silver is very hard to catch, mine just zips off before I press the shutter.

Its certainly made for some fantastic colours Doug, and not every one has the eye.
