Three Rivers Petroglyphs

Three Rivers

This site is one of the few locations in the Southwest set aside solely because of its rock art. It is also one of the few sites giving visitors such direct access to petroglyphs. The trail encourages you to climb through the boulder field to get close-up views.
There are more than 21,000 glyphs spread over 50 acres of the Chihuahuan Desert. The Jornada Mogollons are believed to have created them between 900 and 1400 A.D.
Highly recommended.
