House in Bumble Bee

Bumble Bee exit off I-17

Bumble Bee is on the way to Cleator and Crown King and served as a stage stop. It received its name in 1863 possibly because a cavalry officer observed that "Indians in the area are as thick as bumblebees."

Thanks, Bill! You've inspired to get out and do more photographing of these all historic places and structures before they're all gone. I've not been exploring for a while.
I hope you can get back to the beautiful Southwest again soon.

I LOVE your photos, Peg. I live in England and have seen a few of the areas you photographed, but I want to come back for more! Your logging of these soon-to-be-gone locations is invaluable.
