We do get quite a few colourful birds coming around from time to time. This is one that presented a photographic opportunity for me, and an opportunity to dream for the cat.

Alas you can see that I had pretty much given up on the 40 D by this point. I'm not even bothering to run the auto rename process to update the file numbers to represent how many times the number count has gone around. I'm using the backup 28 to 135 mm lens here which admittedly did a pretty decent job with this shot.
