Many areas of Sydney are being reclaimed from previous industrial / commercial uses. (That is to say, they're "being gentrified with ridiculously overpriced housing".) One of the big "in-things" in such places is to use native vegetation to as great an extent as possible.
In several parts of the Pyrmont area (particularly in parklands) you'll find patches of native grass. I believe (but am not certain) that this is common wallaby grass.
I've had this as a "contingency subject" for a while. However I think it's perhaps a bit more photogenic than that and probably deserves a bit more limelight, especially as this image is going to be buried several days back in my PAD gallery because I forgot to bring the image card home last week. Hence the title "Native Grass 1"; most likely I'll revisit this subject at some point in the future.
