"Eat your heart out John Constable!"
Or at least that's what I thought when I captured this scene. I was struck by the contrast between the dark clouds in the background, and the Anzac Bridge, the decommissioned warship HMAS Adelaide (seen in the Adieu Adelaide gallery, PBase link here), and the wharf that she's tied to all of which were illuminated by a shaft of light coming through a break in the clouds.
Unfortunately the contrast in the image wasn't quite as great as I recall it being in real life. I considered burning the clouds, but in the end decided to leave the shot au natural. The contrast is still visible enough even if not as theatrical as it might have been.
