Wise old owl

This really was a wise owl, sitting high on a rafter under the "clear" covering (roofing) of
our side balcony. I saw all the droppings on the balcony decking and looked up to see
a pair of big eyes looking down at me!

We never see owls here... only deep in the bush if your lucky..I've only ever seen one here...and it felt spooky looking down at me... nice capture.

Oh Wow! Is it a Southern Boobook ? We hear them often but I have never been so close except once on a night too dark for identification. Great catch and lucky, lucky you!
