Wrangell-St. Elias National Park

Wrangell-St. Elias National Park in Alaska is the largest national park in US, six times bigger than Yellowstone. It is located about 5 hour drive to the east of Anchorage. Four mountain ranges, Alaska, Chugach, Wrangells, and St. Elias, meet in the park which is the home of nine of the sixteen highest peaks in the US.

This park is also one of least accessible one. Only two unpaved road go into park for less than 60 miles. The rest can only be explored by foot or by air. For more information, please visit: http://www.nps.gov/wrst/.
