Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska is one of the most unique and most beautiful National Parks in the US. Situated to the west of Juneau by Gulf of Alaska, it is unreachable by car. It can only be reached by boat or plane. The Fairweather mountain range supplies the ice to Tidewater glaciers around the Bay. Mt. Fairweather, the highest peak in the park, rises to 15,320 ft (4669m), just within 15 miles from coast.
All the pictures in this gallery was taken during a cruise in August of 2003. It was a bright sunny day, which is very unusual in that time of year. We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous scenery.
