What an amazing image!! I'ts all been said below.
This is wonderful. Yes, a memory fading in and out... too quickly.
Niall this is fantastic..
a flash moment in time?
a fleeting thought?
wonderfully provocative image, Niall!
So great. I love the feeling of this. Will we still have such a strong relationship between the photo and the memory with all our discs packed with jpegs in years to come?
prisonner of -framed by - the processing.

I don't have a clue if you added that "blue curtain" or if it was there already as a result of time's "processing" but the effect is fantastic.
It's just like the fabric of time itself had opened up ever so briefly and we were able to peek into this world and it's happiness we see there.
Agree with Ai Li and Eckhart! Fading memories.
This image has a surreal, almost ghostly quality. Like a distant memory. Great!
I don't know how you did it but it's really wonderful. I agree with Eckhart that it looked like a distant or fading memory. Childhood. Family. Mother's love.
Like a distant memory. Great!
Definitely looks like an image out of the past.
Is this a rescued negative / scan? This is sooo cool
