Today's high in Philly ~ 101*F; 96.6*F at my house (because we're on a hill....)
"Summertime Blues" is a song co-written and recorded by American rockabilly artist Eddie Cochran.
It was written in the late 1950s by Cochran and his manager Jerry Capehart.
Originally a single B-side, it was released in August 1958 and peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 29, 1958 and number 18 on the UK Singles Chart.
It has been covered by many artists, including being a number-one hit for country music artist, Alan Jackson, and a notable hit for the English rock band, The Who and the first heavy metal band Blue Cheer.

I am with Gerda - It is too hot to go outside. We took a walk at sunset the other day and crossed paths with a young black bear. We didn't even attempt to run away nor did he make a move to scamper away. So we all went about the business we were in. Nice thermometer and very nice capture.
the mercury is certainly rising..hot stuff here, song included..got my first radio in 1958, when Chuck Berry was the hottest artist around, with Elvis, Fats, Jerry Lee, Little Richard, and Eddy looming large as well..
Really sharp and colorful capture of an unusual thermometer! V.
