What A Great Morning 05_20_06.jpg

On Saturday 20, May a handful of the people attending the 2006 Yellowstone Photo Meet & Greet went to the lower Gibbon River near Madison Junction to photograph the sunrise. It was a beautiful morning. The company was great, the weather perfect and the bit of mist made for a great photo. What a great trip this was.

I shot this with a flash for the foreground and a 2 stop graduated neutral density filter to pull down the sky.

Some more photos from the trip

Sheer natural beauty. Nice touch to "down" the sky. Voted.

How was the earthquake, I though about you all when I heard about it. Wondered if you felt it.

Beautiful colour in this morning shot. The reflections from the water make it interesting. Very well done.

Really well done. And, excellent strategy with the flash and ND filter to bring about a first-hand image view. Good stuff - g

Aboslutely lovely sunrise, very well done. I like the tree that sorta frames the shot and exposure is spot on!
