Bosque del Apache... It's for the Birds!!

A beautifully scenic locale at any time, Bosque del Apache is a very special place to visit while the migratory birds
are in residence. In the dead of winter, this beautiful spot is home to 14,000 sandhill cranes, 32,000 snow geese,
13,000 canadian geese, and a variety ofother birds and wildlife. Very cold at 5:00 am, setting up in the dark,
but what a treat when this multitudeof snow geese fly out over your head at sunrise!

Sandi, I was in Bosque last November and I know what it means to get up at 5:00 AM in the morning and its 13 degrees outside! But watching the morning ritual of the "blast off" made it all worthwhile. Your wonderful gallery brought back some great memories. Vote!
