Beautiful Dancers on the Town





I went back to New York City to photograph some of the talented professional dancers that call the big apple home.
This time I wanted to place dancers in unexpected locations....like Times Square on Saturday morning! Kent (Shatterbug) Atwell played a vital part of this shoot.
Weeks before the shoot, he was scouting the city and sending me pictures that gave me more and more ideas. He was my right hand during the 3 days helping me and
the dancers with anything that needed doing at the time. He also documented the shoot with many brilliant behind-the-scenes images. Thank you Kent!

It is unbelievable. Every now and again, or rather, whenever I shed a glance on PBase, I tend to see this one remarkable photographer at the top of the popular pages and it does not require a genius to see why. What a remarkable series. You have indeed managed to get the stars out ans captured them in a way that has immortalized their hard efforts forever. These are remarkable shots, every one of them. Shots that encourage the viewers to appreciate the hard work dedicated by these athletes. This is a spotlight on ballet as an art and you have rendered these athletes in a way that grace their moves and these shots are stunning, remarkable and you remain too0 humble. Kent is an artist but you are the master. The dancers have been beautifully portrayed but no one other than you would have managed to accomplish the same.

Bringing out of rooms these beautiful dancers, and photographing them on the streets, in the subway, in the industrial areas, and on Times Square, is a rich photographic inspiration. Have seen the slide show twice and read the comments, what is there to add to the general laudacity. You did it again, and this time to my preferred US city, my base for five years, while at college in Boston and working in the street.

I simply cannot gush enough about this gallery and the art portrayed in it. Right through from settings to composition to lighting to the wonderful dancers on display, this screams pure beauty. On a lighter note, image number one has me going squint as I wonder where two important body parts have been stored during this split. Phenomenal artists. Thank you for bringing my attention to your galleries again. My very close young lady friend (unofficial daughter:-) will be by to look as well as your last gallery also blew her away. Rudes
