This is the last shot of open water, we got a winter storm and it was frozen over today, November 17/2011. It was a good year for wildlife at the By the Lake Park. The park is a hidden jewel of central Alberta. Wildlife, family outings and stocked with rainbow trout which some of them had reached five pounds... the walking trail is loaded with bird life and lots of deer. They keep the trail open in the winter.. The hill makes a great place to sled and ski for the children... Wetaskiwin City does a great job looking after the park.. a lot of credit to them.. thanks....
