I am at a place in life where I want to be. Being able to go out and spend the time photographing everything under the sun and trying be good at it. My goal is not taking just photos but achieve quality results of my work in the end. Subject and light is what its all about. I look at the past photographs that I have done and know there has been great improvements. Saying that I have only touched the surface. Photography is a never ending enjoyable past time. I live for photography... I try to put photos of interest to all on pbase. It there is a photo of someone who does not want to be in here, I will gladly take it out. I hope to keep my site interesting so all can benefit. Thanks...Ron I am really pleased with the response on my "photo with quotes" thanks for all the kind remarks.. some are getting over 5,000 each... www.pbase.com/poundstone/quotes **If you are feeling down and your day is going the wrong way, check my quotes as I know they will brighten your day...

July 04.2012 Thank you so much for all remark left on my photos and in the guestbook. I take a lot of pride in this gallery.. I just was going in to look for a photo and got wrapped up in some of the quotes... ended up reading them all. They have so much meaning and you read some of the remarks you can see how it has changed some peoples lives... I encourage the viewers to take the time and read them. It will give you that second wind that is sometimes needed to carry on. I thank you all, without you this gallery would not be here.
February 23/2010 So much to learn and so little time... I am now using some great programs and it really makes life easier...Topaz, Nik Complete Addition and onOne... If you are looking for an outstanding Slide Show take a look at FotoMagico...its great.. This year I am going to get into alot of HDR. This should be a good year as I have lots planned. Would be nice to share this with a single female companion who has a passion for photography....
I have found a great place to get Canvas Prints done, happy with my work that I got done. They also sell other artist work.. "Visions Unlimited" www.envisionyourcanvas.com or firstname.lastname@example.org ph.1-780-387-3535 They are in Central Alberta. They are caring and are easy to talk to... They look after their customers and back everything they do... It may be worth a try if you want a canvas print done... If you are going out to buy a new camera, London Drugs in South Common Edmonton is a good place to go.. they have knowledgeable staff and will price match.. They have good sales... They also have a 15 day trial period with no questions asked return policy...
Here's a few quotes by other Photographers.
The fact is that relatively few photographers ever master their medium. Instead they allow the medium to master them and go on an endless squirrel cage chase from new lens to new paper to new developer to new gadget, never staying with one piece of equipment long enough to learn its full capacities, becoming lost in a maze of technical information that is of little or no use since they don't know what to do with it. --Weston.
All the arts are based on the presence of man, only photography derives an advantage from his absence. Photography affects us like a phenomenon in nature, like a flower or a snowflake whose vegetable or earthly origins are an inseparable part of their beauty. --Bazin
