The image on the left was taken last Friday and the one on the right was taken this afternoon before the "mess" really hit. The wind is coming out of the north thanks to Hurricane Sandy and they are predicting waves of 16 feet on the lake with lake buoy measurements of 10 feet already. I could barely stand steady to take the image today. As of 8 PM tonight we are experiencing heavy rain, steady winds in the 30 MPH range and wind gusts of 45 MPH with the strongest gusts yet to come tonight. I doubt I will sleep much tonight as every now and then a big gust hits and rattles everything.
Hopefully by morning the worst will be over and I will not have lost power :-)
