an unusual fly...

I used my sigma 18-200 lens with a kenko 12mm extension tube...
It worked well for this close up I think...

Wonderful close-up , Patricia! This insect isn't a fly but a bee the bee coucou (Sphecodesalbilabris). This bee goes in the nest of other bees which have eggs, they eat them and lay their eggs in this nest. The larva eat the pollen reserv which is normally for the larva of "the host" I think that we tell this parasite insect. I hope that I have godd explain this in english!!
